Have you ever built a structure in Minecraft and thought that something about it just doesnt seem right, if that is the case you're probably unsure as to what you can do to improve it. Well you are in luck as I have had this problem one too many times and have decided to make a website centered around tip and tools used to aid you in your builds. The first tip I recommend is for texturing and I believe is very important, if you are going to build anything, make sure you have a base colour palette so that you can get an idea of what blocks you will be using.

The next key thing to remember is to add depth to the build, for example when building a house that consists of a cube and a pyramid on the roof the easiset way to add depth is to choose a side to extend outwards to add another room that is a little smaller than the main room and add a roof on top that is also smaller than the main rooms roof, once done you can add a bit of depth to the build by adding blocks the extend 1 block off the walls and extend the roof out by 1, after this you can then texturise however you like and you're done though it is important that the texturing stays consistant and matches eachother though that is also optional but is described as "Block Vomit".

The last key thing to remember when making a build is what theme it follows. Currently in Minecraft the most common theme for building is medevil as the colour palettes in the game work best with that theme but there are many others such as, Modern, Steampunk, Renaissance and revolutionary, are a few common themes that work well in Minecraft and can be used in most builds which is why it is very important to consider before the build itself begins as it can either clash with other builds around it that follow other themes or look strange as the theme hasn't been decided causing a clash in the design.
